Eight petals, faceted by hand, with the stamens standing proud of the center.
A cherry tree blooms for about a week. The samurai took the blossom as their emblem for exactly that reason — it drops at full colour rather than browning on the branch. Japan still tracks the bloom front north across the country every spring, and people go out and sit under the trees while it lasts.
Poured in .999 fine silver, hand-finished, each petal chisel-cut into flat planes so the light breaks across them instead of running smooth. Darkened deep in the center and between the petals. 36mm tall.
Ships on a 22-inch black braided leather cord, 4mm, with a gunmetal magnetic barrel clasp. Sits mid-sternum.
Every piece is numbered and the mintage is capped. When the number is gone, the piece is retired.
Founders: every order placed during the founders window ships with a numbered .999 fine silver anvil. It is never sold, and it will not be poured again once the window closes.
